My quilt is made from a fabric panel. My inspiration is to try and not give up.
Norman Rockwell was commissioned to paint these images by the Saturday Evening Post. He was afraid that he could not adequately represent the power of these values but found his inspiration in his local community.
Four Freedoms
The 1943 painting traces its inspiration back to the 1941 State of the Union address by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in which he outlined four democratic values that he considered essential to preserve: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear.
