Exercising is Good. Accessorizing is Better. by Liz M

My mug rug is two sided.

And depending on how I feel that day I can use the side that inspires me.

Most days I accessorize but some days I exercise!

Kathy by Liz A

Here is my mug rug completed as Challenge 2  (Fussy Cut) of Project QUILTING Season 12

It is called Kathy because I learned about your site and this challenge just this morning from my friend Kathy.

This was fun because I had recently fussy cut the flower and put it in my stash of 2" squares that I keep, made from left overs from scraps in my stash.
I used other squares in the 2" stash to surround the flower and then bordered it with a strip of shirting that was  a scrap from the Bonnie Hunter Grassy Creek quilt I am participating in.  The binding was also made from narrow strips from my scrap box.  It was fused on using Steam-a-Seam 2 Lite and then stitched over.  A lot of fun.

Fussy Cut Quilt by Linda G

Finished my quilt for this weeks fussy cut challenge. Started with a fun print then cut them to highlight different animals and then added strips to make 8.5 inch blocks then added sashing with various batik prints and border.

While I had enough of the print to back it with decided I liked one of the batiks better for the back so have more of the focus fabric in case I want to make another similar quilt.

Fussy Cut Floral Hexis by Jess

I don’t have very many bold or bright patterns in my small stash. But I had this small sampler, so I tried to get all of the pretty flower bunches out. I even tried to make it look wreathe-like. I

’m not sure it’s as “fussy” dominant as others, but I do love this project. I used my new hexi ruler and new waking foot, so I’m learning a ton by participating in your challenges.

Cut Time, Quilt More

Fussy Baby Doll Quilts by Heather

When my granddaughter heard me talking to her mom about the next challenge she was quick to tell me that her babies need some quilts, so here they are.

I chose not to bind them because they are so small, I didn't want them to be stood or heavy.

Fussy Bee Mug Rug by Kay W

I'm so excited because I finally completed the challenge in the timeframe. WhooHoo! I went through my scraps and picked out this bumble bee, and made my first mug rug.

This has sparked me to make mug rugs for Christmas gifts this year.

Geisha Dreams by Lisa H

My project for the fussy cut challenge is "Geisha dreams".

I have a stash of Asian inspired fabrics that I bought while visiting Hawaii many years ago.

I live in Waynesville, North Carolina.  I’m hoping to participate in many more challenges!  My sister-in-law, Jo Brickwell, has been teaching me to quilt, and has assertively encouraged me to join the Project Quilting community!

Thank you & cheers!

Stronger Together Quilt Along

Fussy Cat Zipper Bag by Lori B

I am attaching 2 photos for this weeks Project QUILTING Fussy Cut challenge.

It is a lined 7 x 9 zippered bag. For the batting I used iron on fleece.

I did a little FMQ on the front with my Featherweight machine, not ideal but my fancy machine is in the shop.

Thank you for these fun projects!
