Fibonacci Spiral

Project QUILTING Challenge 8.3 Tuned in to Texture

I have titled this Fibonacci Spiral. A couple weeks ago I watched an episode of Treehouse Masters where Pete Nelson was using the Fibonacci spiral to create a bench in a tree house he was building. It's fascinated me so I looked it up and saw how it worked and in nature one of the most obvious things is the nautilus shell. Hence the inspiration for this challenge.

For some reason this challenge really intrigued and lit a fire in me. I've been away from quilting a couple years and wanted to jump right back in.

I take pictures everywhere I go of patterns hoping that one day I could maybe put them into a quilt. One I particularly remember is a tile pattern on the floor of a hospital. Yes, people thought I was crazy taking a picture of the floor, but it humored me for the moment.
