Coastal Textures by Theresa B

Project QUILTING Challenge 8.3 – Tuned In To Texture

20170204_160026

My parents have a palm tree in their front yard with a rough crisscross bark and spiky fronds. I tried to capture this bark by sewing small fringy strips on a trunk. I fused two pieces of green together and cut out the branches. They are then loosely appliqued to the quilt. It is 10x13.
I call it Coastal textures. I quilt in Powder Springs, GA.
