Helix Quilt by Carol H

Almost decided not to do a quilt this week, and this one is a 3.5 day wonder. But: the scalding news from East Lansing on Monday put this idea in my head, and it wouldn’t go away, so here we are.

The book inspiration is The Double Helix (#ad), by James D. Watson; a lively autobiographical account of the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA. It was required reading at an high school science honor program at Michigan State University in 1972. MSU was an amazing place to be as a teenage girl interested in science, and I never looked back. Strong connections there always and I know they will carry on with their mission to open up the world to students.

Pattern is called Helix from Richard and Tanya Quilts. http://blog.richardandtanyaquilts.com

Created by Carol Hendrick for the Project QUILTING 14.4 A Novel Project Challenge.
