Week 4 Bright Bright
Sunday brainstorming with the brightest fabrics in my stash---a stack of Kaffe and Brandon 2 1/2 inch squares and miscellaneous vibrant solids. Also three orphan heart blocks, left over from quilts for pulse.
The inspiration of making different bright blocks came from the Modern Quilt Studio's February calendar quilt, Katsura.
Loving the process of making different blocks but know I want it quilted better than what I can do on my own an in time, so my actual submission is a bright curling iron cover for when I travel. The idea was inspired by a Moda Bake Shop pattern – Curling Iron Pocket.
Learned how to use double folded bias tape and first time using heat resistant fabric too. The size is about 17 inches by three and made in the heart of Wisconsin. Now when I am running out of the house with a hot curling iron I can throw it into the sleeve and into my suitcase.
Happy Brightness everyone!

It is a nice bright cover for your curling iron. Hope that you continue with the larger quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love this quick project, and can't wait to see the other one, too!
