It never occurred to me to make a statement with a sewing machine but this is all I could think about since the challenge of A Stitch in Time was given, probably due to recent events; and the message is that children need to be hugged and loved and that a ‘hug in time’ saves lives!  A warm yellow surrounds a happy, healthy hug, the white background is trim and unfrayed, all is right in the world.  A hurting child becomes blue and depressed but is left all alone, life starts to fray apart.  If that child is not loved we are left with an angry, hurting individual, we did not give a hug in time.   If we don’t take care of the problem all the years they are growing up we are left with a mess of a person.   A Stitch in Time Saves...Nine bullets/lives...

  1. This quilt is very moving. Such a true statement. It was my favorite among all the quilts this week.
