'Back to Front'

I started this piece with hand dyed fabric with some different colour's for the feather as it goes up.. Black fabric over that and chalked feather design.. and few others...then free motion stitched on the chalk lines..then to cut out bits in the stitched areas.. not realizing the smaller.. the more difficult and so fiddle fiddle!!.. 

Took ages because the layers are sooo close.. (altho there were a few 'faulty' snips!.. covered like band aids!).. Quilted 'quite' finely around feature cutouts and really enjoyed it!!
