So Many Squares by Teri Dorn

This is my So Many Squares quilt.

I looked through one of the links that was shared on the Project Quilting site for ideas. Then I remembered that I had ripped out an idea from a quilt magazine a few years ago that would be perfect for this challenge.

I’m not a fan of raw edge appliqué, but turning under the edges would have been too difficult. I used my AccuQuilt Go for the squares. Then I cut out some of the centers. It’s really fun to just play and not worry about being perfect.

I do better quilting with rulers. I tried out a new ruler and had a lot of difficulty with the circles. After a lot of mistakes, I finally found that I just needed to rotate the ruler to have a bigger area to hold on to. The last row of circles came out really well.

I also was playing around with using a design on the binding. It was much faster than hand sewing the binding to the back.

Thank you so much for doing these challenges. I have tried out something new on each one!
