The 3rd Snail Went off Trail by Liz A

 This was fun.  I learned a lot. It was my first time with a Snail Trail block.

My project is three coaster/mug rugs,  two for a friend (with proper snail trail designs) and one for me. The pieces were made from my stash.

I had planned to make four blocks into a small table centerpiece but re-focused when the  third snail wandered a bit and I discovered I was short of green fabric. 

I used a template from AQS2019 for the pattern and paper pieced al three of them using old fashioned type-writer paper and determined  that using a very short stitch length (1.5 on my Viking), the paper was a cinch to remove. 

 Title is "The 3rd Snail went off Trail".
