Table Toppers by Diane Crawford

For this challenge, I decided to make 4-23” table toppers for the boutique at our guild’s quilt show in July.

The proceeds from the boutique will go to our guild’s efforts to provide quilts to local nonprofit agencies that serve clients that need quilts—the fire departments, hospice programs, low income children’s centers, homeless outreach agencies, etc.   I found this cute and easy pattern in the book Weekend Sewing from the anniescatalog.com.

The pattern is by Cathey Laird of Cathey Marie Designs.  Once I decided to make 4 toppers, I decided that each one should represent a season.  Each topper takes me about 6 hours of total prep and sewing time.  Since I can’t quilt as much as I would like, I have finished one topper (Winter), one top (Spring), and I’ve done the prep work for the remaining 2 toppers (Summer and Fall), which I hope to complete at our guild retreat coming up next week.

Thanks,

Diane Crawford

  1. What a lovely contribution to your Guild's boutique!! One topper for each season was a brilliant idea.
