# Project Quilting 9.3. Bold and Brave
This quilt: Don’t Deny
16 x 22”
Only a few thousand Jewish children survived the WWII concentration camps. These incredible youngsters had to be brave and bold in order to survive. Fast forward to 2018, some Holocaust survivors are, again, being brave and bold in speaking up against Nazis and the rise in antisemitism.
The pieced picture frames and pictures give faces to bold and brave children.
The stars on the pieced flag represent the almost 1.5 million children who perished in concentration camps.
The Star of David is hand stitched to the flag given that most Jews hand-sewed yellow stars to their clothing.
