Mom was born on 8/8/28 and made her 88th birthday this past August! Sadly, she passed away in October after a brief illness.
When I saw the prompt "Eight is great!", there was NO question that my quilt would include some material from a few of her blouses!
I made 8 eight inch blocks, most consisting of 8 pieces! The piece is 16" x 32" and will hang in my sewing room, or perhaps be used as a cheery table runner. The two florals and the gingham fabric in the binding were cut from her blouses. Mom was a master knitter and was a real cheerleader for my (modest) quilting efforts! I was so happy that my first participation in Project Quilting was for the "Eight is great!" theme!
Thank you!
