The Bird House

'Hang In There'
This is a South African Finch bird in my yard. He strips branch ends to make his hanging house and is messy! It is built with whatever he can find.. I made this raw edge applique style.. The nest house is wool/yarn bundled and sewn by hand on a quilted background.. Birdie is bits and pieces on baking paper then cut out and appliqued.. I was abit messy.. like the bird!!.. Butterfly made with a square of fabric and folded.
