Time for Nancy To See Venice

My office mate is retiring after 27 years, and I’ve had trouble deciding what to make for her.  She and her husband plan to do lots of travelling and hanging out with the grandchildren.  I knit half a scarf in fun novelty yarn, but it ended up looking like a boa….

Then last week I took a new project bag to work.  When Nancy saw it she said, “Oh, I’ve always wanted to go to Venice!”

Thank you, Nancy, for making my choice so easy – and giving me the inspiration to combine 2 projects into one.

This bag is quilted and pieced.  It measures 13” wide, 9” high, and 5” deep.  Whether it travels across the ocean or just to the park, my friend Nancy will have a little view of Venice wherever she goes…..

……and a pocket for her cell phone!

My name is Sue and I create in West Hartford, CT.
