“Stamens and Filaments” by Kim Van Etten

My week 2 project for the Project QUILTING Carolina Lily Challenge

This is a busy week beyond busy, so I went small.  Here is a 5” x 5” mug matt.

What I like about the lily is the flow of the Stamens and Filament, so I pieced the flower portion of the Lily and quilted the stamens and filament over the top of everything.

8 is Great. My quilt is a figure 8 knot - appliqued and free motion quilted with title quilted at the bottom of the quilt, Size 12x 18 inches. tove sLots and lots of fun and learned how to tie the knot as well. Bonus feature.
