My mug rug is two sided.
And depending on how I feel that day I can use the side that inspires me.
Most days I accessorize but some days I exercise!

Here is my mug rug completed as Challenge 2 (Fussy Cut) of Project QUILTING Season 12
English Paper pieced potholder.
Love the kaleidoscope pattern the fussy cut created in the final design.
Continuing with my personal mini-quilt challenge, this piece, “Family,” is @9” x 10”.

Finished my quilt for this weeks fussy cut challenge. Started with a fun print then cut them to highlight different animals and then added strips to make 8.5 inch blocks then added sashing with various batik prints and border.
While I had enough of the print to back it with decided I liked one of the batiks better for the back so have more of the focus fabric in case I want to make another similar quilt.

I don’t have very many bold or bright patterns in my small stash. But I had this small sampler, so I tried to get all of the pretty flower bunches out. I even tried to make it look wreathe-like. I
’m not sure it’s as “fussy” dominant as others, but I do love this project. I used my new hexi ruler and new waking foot, so I’m learning a ton by participating in your challenges.
Ann Tribby enjoyed the Fussy Cut Project QUILTING Challenge so much she made two projects! (Which is awesome but she still only gets her name in the hat once this week 😉)

I'm so excited because I finally completed the challenge in the timeframe. WhooHoo! I went through my scraps and picked out this bumble bee, and made my first mug rug.
This has sparked me to make mug rugs for Christmas gifts this year.

Last spring and summer I made lots of masks, so have lots of scraps. This mini quilt was made from some of those scraps.

My project for the fussy cut challenge is "Geisha dreams".
I have a stash of Asian inspired fabrics that I bought while visiting Hawaii many years ago.
I live in Waynesville, North Carolina. I’m hoping to participate in many more challenges! My sister-in-law, Jo Brickwell, has been teaching me to quilt, and has assertively encouraged me to join the Project Quilting community!
Thank you & cheers!Fussy baby blanket,
