Riverside

Reminiscing about childhood makes me think about riding my bike downtown. Summer destinations the library or swimming pool, wintertime going tobogganing down by the river. In any season, you pass the historic water tower in the village center. The design inspiration was also Riverside being home to many Frank Lloyd Wright homes. clip_image004

Thanks #projectquilting for getting me to think practically how to make a Wright window inspired quilt. After many different generations of water towers, I decided to keep to the arts and crafts simplicity, including a miniature hand stitched water tower as an ode to Riverside.

Hand stitching inspired by slow stitching class I recently attended with Maday Delgado.
