TRISH by Robyn Wimmer

Robyn Wimmer

I’ve never met Trish although I have watched her and Kim online and she does, indeed, have a REALLY big laugh!

I took Kim’s advice and checked out Quilt Chicken to learn more about Trish, hoping I’d glean some inspiration for this LAST (sob) challenge.

When I read that Trish loves typography, I found my plan! I was a professional calligrapher for many years but arthritis no longer allows me to use pen and ink. Nowadays, I turn to the Internet if I need a particular font. I found the perfect one for this week’s challenge. Named Cavano,  it shouted, “TRISH” to me.

T is bubbly, like her big personality.

R is grunge, a metaphor for the ovarian cancer she survived.

I is ice cream and sweet cherries, symbolizing good things in life.

S is glitter, helping her celebrate life.

H is paw prints and a heart big enough to love chickens.

The background reminded me of ‘little grey cells” and being a self-confessed book geek, I bet Trish has read a few Poirot mysteries.

The binding is hot pink; she is a BAD ASS Quilter, after all.

The font is Cavano.

Hoping to meet Kim and Trish next winter in Madison!
