Team Cafe by Melisa

For my team colors challenge, two of my biggest supporters who have been on my TEAM since the beginning, My Mom and Older Sister, are opening a cafe on 2/1 so I made them a wall hanging with their team theme.

This is a 16× 16 applique quilt with cotton batting and machine binded. I chose to not do any quilting through the layers, as all of my applique zig zag stitches go through both layers for the quilting, this was for time sake. The backing is the coffee fabric in the border. Since I can't draw but had an idea for what I wanted in my mind, I purchased a cricut file of the coffee cup and heart steam image on etsy from OwenandDemi and used that to cut my fabric, and used the cricut also to cut the letters. The fabric for the appliques was backed with heat and bond lite when cut and then fused on the top.
