Go Cougs! by Diane C

For the Fussy Cut Challenge I needed a quick and easy project, since I’m taking 3(!) virtual classes “at” the Road to CA show this week.  The square of fabric was fussy cut from its place among the rest of the logos in the yardage.  The lettering and logo were topstitched as though they were appliquéd.

The stitching serves as the quilting for the block.  This is “Go Cougs!”, a 6” finished block.  I have a total 20 decorative 6” blocks that I can hang in a frame representing the months of the year, various holidays and events, and a couple of my favorite sports team.  As an alumna of Washington State University, I couldn’t pass up the chance to share my Cougar Pride.
