How do we find hope in a seemingly hopeless world? A few years ago I helped make a quilt called "Have A Little Faith ". One of the blocks was called Hope Springs Eternal. I put 4 of these blocks together in this table topper with some of the encouraging scripture references. The yellow square in the center represents hope, because hope is the center of our faith. Hope is mentioned over 130 times in the Bible.

I quilted this with a combination of machine quilting and big stitch hand quilting and used a traditional binding. I am definitely no expert in machine embroidery, but decided to try my machine's capabilities to see what I could come up with. The size of the table topper is 15 inches.

“Adventure” by Amy P

This measures 45 1/2 x 9 1/2. Made with my London fabric. My sister and I are taking my son to England for graduation. We have not had a vacation in 13 years. It's time.

Hopes for an organized sewing room

Even though I clean my sewing room, organize fabric and try hard to maintain, I hope every time that it stays that way but my creativity doesn't work that way. Creativity is better than order.  This is pieced and applique. It is 10x13 inches.

"Hope Springs Eternal".  We all hope for peace, love, security and happiness. For many people, the hope has indeed been eternal.

It takes faith to have continued hope so the icons are displayed in a stained glass window.  (These are charm squares. The project is 17" square.)

FAITH HOPE LOVE by Vicki Bartels

This is a pattern from J Michelle Watts entitled FAITH HOPE LOVE that has been on my quilting list for about 5 years now. The minute I seen your blog I knew it was time to get it done. My hope was that I got it completed and hope that I read all the requirements correctly and hope that my church loves it as I will hang it there. Looking forward to the next challenge.
