This is the block for May from “Under the Garden Moon” a year’s worth of felted wool projects. I made a set a few years ago but when we started spending Thanksgiving through Easter here in Madison, I decided to make a second patchwork wall hanging and divide up my months. Because we’re staying longer due to the shelter-in-place, I needed something for May.
Great timing with the FLORAL challenge! I’ve decided to make an entire second set since we have twin granddaughters and I think they’d enjoy changing out the months.
Whereas I used jumbo rickrack for the trim around the first set, I had to use what I had on hand and was lucky to have found this green gingham. I think I’ll use gingham for the entire set when I make it!
