When I saw the challenge (from a fellow employee at Privia.  We chat through our crafts decor chat)  I bought both color ways and found this way would make the Swoon pattern (#ad) really sparkle.

Button it Up by Lily H

 It's the last challenge. Too many ideas and just not enough time to test them out.

I just made a simple envelope style pouch with a stacked button closure. In keeping of my own challenge of creating some type of bag for each challenge.

 Dear Kim and Trish,

a wonderful season again. So sad that it was already the last challenge this year. The projectquilting boosts my creativity like nothing else. Thank you for that. 
This year most of my projects turned out in felt
Also the last one.

 Although in the end i disqualify because i found this leechen which compliments the button hole so nicely that i exchanged it for the button:)

3 layers felt. Hand felted, hand quilted

Hope for many more seasons and will continue the button series....

 Posting now because 2 weeks ago I so forgot!!!!

Anyhow voilà… 

I was traveling for this last one, hapoy I could come up with a hand sewing project. 

The word « button » was in my head… then I saw a tutorial by @Bookhou for a collapsible container. 

In it are circles that made me think of buttons!! 

So voilà how I prepared my hand sewing and did the sewing in my Amtrak train.

This week’s theme is Button It Up. I found a heart shaped button and thought of how much I enjoy this challenge. I decided to use the button in a banner saying “I heart P Q”.

'To The Moon'

I was drawing a arrow on paper and my friend said 'my little daughter would make that into a Rocket... I liked that idea so designed an arrow like rocket on the way to the moon!!.. The sky moon and hills are my hand dyed fabrics and the rocket little bits of other fabrics and free motioned stitched.. I made it quite long and narrow to fit a space on my studio wall.. running out of gaps!!

What Goes Up, Must Come Down by Jacomina

Trapunto Heart by Maren R

 Just trying out Trapunto. Had this piece of prefelt left and Arrow and heart seemed a good combination to work on. 

And here it is.

Embelished Trapunto and some Grafitti Quilting. The Arrows are a bit on the subtle side but i really like it. Nobody should check the back too closely because i made a huge mistake snipping too far and therefore have the batting peeping out but just enjoy the front.

And anyway it is not a showpiece but a dive into creativity and new techniques.

So grateful for project Quilting.

 I remembered this beautiful arrow fabric I received from a niece awhile ago so made a bag.  I tested another pattern but it makes a very large bag.  We went to the recent archery tournament that another niece competed in and so this bag will go to her.
